About Prioritypass

Priority Pass is the global network of airport VIP lounges founded in 1992 and headquartered in London, United Kingdom. Today it is present in more than 1,500 lounges across 600+ cities in 145 countries, plus participating restaurants at select airports where membership covers a dining credit. The website prioritypass.com offers a Spanish interface with prices shown in Mexican pesos via conversion and lets you subscribe to three annual membership levels: Standard ($99 USD/year + cost per visit), Standard Plus (included entries plus additional paid visits) and Prestige ($469 USD/year with unlimited visits for the primary member). Membership is independent of airline, alliance or ticket: it applies in owned and third‑party lounges (Plaza Premium, Aspire, Air France, Lufthansa, Turkish, Korean Air, Cathay) regardless of flight class. In Mexico there are Priority Pass lounges in CDMX (AICM Terminals 1 and 2), Cancún, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta and Tijuana. For the frequent Mexican traveler who flies economy but wants access to a VIP lounge with drinks, food, Wi‑Fi, shower and rest area before the flight, Priority Pass is a main alternative to airline-exclusive lounges or credit-card–linked memberships.

💡 Money-saving tips for Prioritypass

  • The best Priority Pass promotions concentrate around their start-of-year campaigns (January–February), Summer Sale (June–July) and Black Friday/Cyber Monday, with discounts of 10–25% on Standard and Prestige memberships and sometimes extra free visits included.
  • For Hot Sale in May and El Buen Fin in November, MXN prices often improve due to exchange rate effects.
  • Subscribe to the newsletter for a welcome coupon (typically an extra 10%).
  • Before purchasing Priority Pass, check if your Mexican credit card already includes a free membership: AmEx Platinum, AmEx Centurion, Banamex Prestige, BBVA Infinite, Santander LATAM Pass Black, HSBC Premier World Elite and other premium cards include Priority Pass at no extra cost with a set number of annual visits (typically 2–10 per year).
  • Compare with The Centurion Lounge, Plaza Premium directly and Lounge Key/DragonPass memberships: if you fly more than 8–10 times a year, Prestige is worth it; if you fly less, the Standard pay-per-use plan or membership via a card is better.
  • Request an invoice — Priority Pass as a UK company does not issue CFDI by default, but keep the confirmation email as proof.
  • For business travel deductions, contact support with your RFC to request an invoice.
  • Use the official app: it shows lounges available near you, estimated capacity and wait times.
  • Some lounges have queues during peak hours — arrive 30 extra minutes early.

Frequently asked questions about Prioritypass

Does Priority Pass work at airports in Mexico?

Yes. Priority Pass has lounges in the main Mexican airports: CDMX (AICM Terminals 1 and 2), Cancún, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Tijuana, Mérida and Querétaro, among others, with lounges such as The Grand Lounge Elite, MERA Business Lounge and Plaza Premium. Global coverage includes more than 1,500 lounges in 145 countries, ideal for frequent domestic and international travelers.

Does Priority Pass accept OXXO or Mercado Pago?

Priority Pass does not accept OXXO Pay or Mercado Pago directly on its website. Available payment options for customers in Mexico are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal and MSI with participating Mexican bank cards for eligible purchases. If you need to pay in cash, one alternative is to buy PayPal balance at OXXO via a participating kiosk and use PayPal at checkout.

Does Priority Pass provide electronic invoice (CFDI)?

Priority Pass is a company based in London, United Kingdom, and as such it does not issue Mexican CFDI by default for memberships sold directly. Keep the confirmation email with your membership number, breakdown and supplier details as proof. For business travel deductions, contact support with your RFC to request an international/european invoice that may be compatible with your Mexican tax requirements, especially useful for recurring executive use.

Does Priority Pass offer months without interest?

Yes. prioritypass.com offers MSI at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months without interest with participating Mexican bank cards (Banamex, BBVA, Santander, HSBC, Banorte, AmEx) on purchases above the minimum amount, especially useful for the Prestige annual membership ($469 USD ~ $9,000 MXN). Before subscribing, check if your credit card already includes Priority Pass for free (AmEx Platinum, BBVA Infinite, Banamex Prestige) — that is often a better option than paying for a separate membership.
